Through the international audio tour company VoiceMap, I produced The Eastern Promenade in All Seasons, a GPS-based, self-guided audio walk through one of the most beautiful vistas in Portland, Maine. The walk starts with a spectacular overlook of Portland Harbor, Casco Bay and the islands, and continues down by the waterfront.
Included are recollections from a local who grew up in the neighborhood and sounds from the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad. Users download the walk with a smartphone, and as they walk, an audio track triggers at each GPS point of interest along the way.
